Born in the canopy of woody the buckeye tree, the 4Buckeyes came to life in 2009. Since then they’ve been spreading Ohio State spirit through animation, comic strips, original music merchandise, and more. This is a family project. Everything is reviewed by my mom and my kids if they don’t like it, it doesn’t get posted.

4 BUCKEYES, Made by a Buckeye for Buckeyes
The 4 Buckeyes are an original animated mascot series created to expand the spirit and storytelling of Ohio State through humor, short animations, comic strips, and original music. Designed as a family-friendly project, the characters bring personality and playful perspective to Buckeye fandom, offering a way to explore game-day energy, rivalries, and traditions in a lighthearted and creative format. The 4 Buckeyes are not intended to replace Brutus Buckeye, but to complement him by adding depth, character-driven stories, and new ways for fans to connect with the Buckeye experience. Created in 2009 by Ohio State graduate Thomas Gaupp, the project has grown into an ongoing creative effort built on animation, design, and storytelling, with a long-term vision of becoming a lasting part of Buckeye culture and something that can be shared across generations.
